While the date is planned for the 24th we have a backup rain date prepared for the 25th of August.

Details
A day of friendly challenges or contests decided by any groups or guilds as well as any SCA Activities for whom we can find staff.  These include the following, Marshal activities, A&S displays, competitions or workshops, Guild displays, workshops or competitions as well as any other groups including unofficial ones.  We plan on having some exciting challenges wear the foresters and the cooks of the east will have the opportunity to test their skills and compete against each other for the favor of their excellencies.  During this process, the foresters will have the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test and will be challenged to try to find things from the forest and surrounding lands to include in their cooking.  There will also be opportunities for new and pre-existing foresters to expand on the skills necessary to help them rank up in the foresters' guild.

Tokens
Each group will be given any number of tokens requested and they may hand these out to “winners” but also will be encouraged to notice the new people and volunteers.  From 4 PM-5 PM, participants are invited to come and write down the number of tokens they acquired and the largest number wins the day.  The ultimate goal, of course, is to impress their excellencies while trying new things.  Come hone your skills with us and have a great time!

Dogs
Dogs are welcome to come to the event as long as they are well-behaved and as long as you clean up after your dogs.  Have fun and I challenge you to decorate your dogs in mid-evil gear as long as it's safe for the dogs.  Your dogs must be controlled at all times on some type of leash for the safety of themselves and others.

Drinking
This site will be a Damp site for new people which means please keep the alcohol in bottles so it's out of sight out of mind, while being respectful to others.

Pests
We will be doing everything in our power to prep the site for the event however it is a field and like any other field in a forest could have ticks, please dress accordingly to protect yourself.

Fire Pits
People are welcome to bring their above-ground fire pits to the event as long as they are inspected by our safety coordinator before being lit.  It will be the responsibility of the owners of the fire pit to bring enough water to put out their fire pits if needed.  If you will need a ground fire pit location please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary preparations.  This is needed for when we have the cooking contest.  The foresters will have designated spots for them to make fire pits from scratch, and will also need to be inspected.
