Greetings to the Populace of our fair Kingdom!

The time has come for Ruantallan to hold their annual War Camp.  This is always a great gathering of our fair Barony.  Allowing us to teach and learn together. 

This year, we have a weekend of multiple championships. 
We have the honor of hosting both the Tir Mara Rapier and Rattan Championships.  Giving our populace the chance to serve our Prince and Princess.

For our local Champions! 
We will be holding the Baronial Archery and Steel Championships.

Lord Angus Sheepsbane will be devising a wonderful test of skill and accuracy from our archers.  All who can, should come out and shoot. 
There will be opportunities through the weekend to practice as well.

M’Lord Land will be coming up with our Steel Championship. 
While this is still a newer discipline in the SCA, it has been great to see it grow by leaps and bounds. 
Please come out and see another type of armored combat!

We will have the thrown weapons range set up for our throwers of Knives, Axes, and Spears.  Lady Onora Glencarin will be running the range through the weekend. 

Court will be Sunday at the whim of their Excellencies. 

AND NOW TO THE MELEE!!

Every year at War Camp, we run melee maneuvers to help prepare our warriors for GNEW and Pennsic.  To refresh our memories in the ways of the Eastern army. 

This year we will be running a refresher course on how Triads work within the Eastern Army.  For in the East, we count by Threes. 
Two Shields and a Great Sword/Polearm.  This can sometimes be supplemented with a Spear. 

Once we have that done, depending on numbers, we will run a few passes with each team, and break down what worked or didn’t.
