Jehan's Fencing and Fighting at the Fort

Jehan's Fencing and Fighting at the Fort returns!  Join us for a day of rapier combat (including the infamous stair pit) and armored combat in an atmospheric setting on the Penobscot River.  In addition to combat, there will be an A&S display, no documentation required.  There will be a fire to warm yourself, and places to fight or fence if the weather is inclement.  NO DAYBOARD, so bring your own picnic lunch.  Be aware that there is rough terain, a steep ramp into the fort, and a gravel road from handicapped parking to the fort entrance.  Saturday's weather is predicted to be rainy, but we can still fight in the gun bays.  Temperatures are presdicted to be in the high 40s, low 50s.

9 am to 10:30 am gate open, armored, rapier and cut and thrust check in, inspections authorizations
10:00 am start of drop off for A&S
10:30 am to 11:00 am Cut and Thrust Tower Stairs Battles, armored Tunnel Battles
10:30 am to 11:00 am Rapier pick ups
11:00 am to 11:30 am Rapier Tower Stairs Match teams of 3
11:30 am to 12:30 pm Lunch
12:30 pm to 1:30 pm Cut and Thrust Tunnel Battles
12:30 -3:30 armored fighting outside the fort
12:30 pm to 1:00 pm Rapier Table Battles
