Settmour Swamp presents a Venetian Carnevale

We, Baron Orlando di Sforza & Baroness Charis Accipiter, bid you, the populace and friends of Settmour Swamp, with great joy and reverence to join me for an evening of splendid revelry and masked delight in the grand tradition of Carnevale.

On Die XXI Februarii Anno Domini M.D.C.XXVI, as the moon ascends above the lagoon and the city hums with the pulse of festivity, my house shall open its doors for an opulent masked ball to celebrate the exuberance of the season.  As we celebrate before the deprivation of the Lenten season we shall indulge in music, dance, and merrymaking as the unspoken rules of our masks allow us to escape the weight of titles and pretense, to revel in anonymity and wit.

The evening shall be adorned with the finest wines from the vineyards of our noble estates, the most exquisite music from talented musicians of the known world, and entertainment that shall delight both the eye and the heart.  Maschere will abound—each one to conceal the face and free the spirit, for the joys of Carnevale demand that none be bound by their station.

Come, don your finest mask and cloak, and allow us to immerse ourselves in the pleasures of the evening.  The air shall be thick with laughter, song, and the sweet perfume of fiori brought from the distant shores, and you, noble friend, will be the heartbeat of our festivity.
We await your presence in anticipation of a night unlike any other, where masks shall be our only distinction and joy our sole companion.
